Whalebridge, the waterside French bistro and bar at Circular Quay, is inviting guests to welcome the New Year with a front-row seat to Sydney’s renowned New Year's Eve fireworks display.
Returning for another year, the Whalebridge New Year’s Eve event offers unparalleled Harbour views, and free-flowing French champagne, paired with a menu curated by culinary director David Clarke.
Whalebridge is part of the Sunday Co. portfolio, owned by experienced hospitality leaders Brett Sergeant and James Wicks. Since taking over the venue in 2023, Sunday Co. has enhanced the venue’s offering, blending refined French cuisine with the energy of Sydney’s dining scene. Whalebridge’s location at the very edge of Circular Quay makes it one of the city’s most premier harbourside destinations.
“New Year’s Eve is such a famous Sydney occasion, and we wanted to create a menu that feels equally as special,” said Clarke. “It’s a celebration of the ocean and the incredible produce we have access to here.”
The menu honours the signature French-inspired coastal flavours Whalebridge has become known for. Highlights include Oscietra caviar with crème fraîche and pomme de ter; fruits de mer featuring rock oysters, Skull Island prawns and tuna tartare; wagyu sirloin with red wine sauce and Tasmanian wasabi butter, and a citron tart with crème fraîche to finish. The menu is complimented by French champagne available all evening, and a selection of premium wines that recognises both local and international producers.
“Our annual New Year’s Eve event captures everything we love about Whalebridge, the spectacular harbour, exceptional produce and a sense of occasion that’s distinctly Sydney,” said Brett Sergeant, managing director, Sunday Co. “It’s an experience that brings together great food, great wine and one of the best views in the world.”
Whalebridge’s New Years Eve experience offers two seating tiers including Bistro Water’s Edge ($1,400pp) and Bistro ($1,100pp), making it a memorable way to ring in 2026.
Bookings are now open via the Whalebridge website.
