Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal virtually officiates fleetwide on Valentine’s Day |
Couples onboard Carnival Splendor enjoyed the ceremony during their 4-night Moreton Island cruise from Sydney, while guests on Carnival Luminosa took part during a 7-night South Pacific cruise from Brisbane.
Guests were invited to reaffirm their love and commitment to each other with the vow renewal ceremony, which even included a ‘kiss cam’ to spotlight couples on the big screen! The ceremony was followed by an onboard reception complete with a champagne toast, cake-cutting moment, and a DJ spinning well-loved wedding classics.
“You can absolutely feel the love onboard Carnival ships, especially on Valentine’s Day. So many of our guests meet, get engaged, and even get married onboard our ships, and our vow renewal ceremony is a wonderful occasion to help couples celebrate their love when they sail with Carnival,” said Kara Glamore, Carnival Cruise Line VP.
Carnival gives thousands of guests the opportunity to sail away with love by offering a variety of ceremonies at sea or on beautiful destinations through the Weddings by Carnival program. Last year, more than 1,220 weddings and vow renewals took place. Whether guests want to plan an engagement, wedding, honeymoon or vow renewal, Carnival offers a wide selection of personalised packages and itineraries to make this an unforgettable moment.
