Sunsail & The Moorings launch clean-up flotilla in Phuket in conjunction with Ocean Crusaders

Sunsail and The Moorings yacht charters have teamed up with Ocean Crusaders for a week of sailing, including clean ups of some of the beaches in Phuket and Krabi province in Thailand.

Customers can join the event, and be part of the flotilla to help protect and enhance this stunning part of South-East Asia. You can either charter your own yacht, with or without a skipper, or join a small number of others on a skippered catamaran in a private ensuite cabin.

The flotilla sails from 26 September – 3 October 2020 from Phuket. The itinerary will include exploring the islands with many other like-minded eco-warriors. The mission is to sail to a stunning beach to spend around an hour cleaning it and then spend the rest of the time enjoying the beaches, islands and villages in this wonderful part of Thailand.

Ocean Crusaders believe that if the beach is cleaned before peak season then other tourists will then respect it more and help to keep it clean in the future.

There will be several included activities during the week to get to know your fellow flotilla members., including a welcome dinner, a celebration dinner on the final night, and a regatta. Clean ups will take place most days, for an hour or two, with all equipment provided, and items collected will be recycled or disposed of correctly.

Pricing starts from AUD$5,659 to privately charter a 3 cabin yacht for up to 6 people on a bareboat basis.

Alternatively, book a private en-suite double cabin on one of our skippered catamarans, costing A$1,700 pp (based on 2 people sharing)
