Supported by the City of Casey and South East Water in conjunction with the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, the day will feature activities, games, entertainment and storytelling for all the family.
Cranbourne Gardens Acting Executive Director, Mr John Arnott, welcomed the continuing commitment of the City of Casey and South East Water in supporting the Family Fun Day.
‘Their support for the past seven years has helped make Family Fun Day a successful community-focused event to promote the importance of living sustainably to the community.
‘It’s one way we can continue to build our links with the community and encourage local residents to come along and enjoy a day out at the Gardens while learning about sustainable gardening.’
For the kids there’ll be hands-on activities with a sensory trail map, potting-up, face painting and wonderful water bug activities as well as presentations by Seaweed Sally, Black Snake Productions, and Anthropo-Scene.
The City of Casey will be on-hand with some helpful waste management tips for local residents about recycling, reuse and reducing waste; and, South East Water will be promoting their water wise messages.
