Holiday blues: Why Aussies are feeling regret after a trip

Bridge to Nowhere
Australians are avid travellers, but holiday planning is leaving them stressed. With almost half (44%) finding it frustrating to plan their itinerary, and a third (35%) admitting they don’t know where to start[1].

All this stress is not only impacting Australians’ spontaneity while on holiday (24%), it is also causing post-holiday regret – with 1 in 5 (20%) admitting they did not have an authentic experience.

It may seem obvious, but surprisingly more than half (57%) of Australians don’t consider this while planning their trip.

When local recommendations were given, Australians felt it made their trip better and they were able to discover more hidden gems (69%) or try an experience they wouldn’t have otherwise (68%).
