Margaret Balfour, a Richie's Rainbow director & 21 time WRAY charterer shares...
" On Saturday 22nd July, Richie’s Rainbow held our annual event at Cloudlands in Brisbane. Thanks to the generous sponsors and donations received and the attendance of over 140 supporters, the event raised in excess of $30,000 to fund ongoing research into childhood cancers (particularly sarcoma) and continue to support families on this journey.
A highlight of the event was the Richie’s Rainbow directors presenting a $100,000 cheque to the University of Queensland for research.
Toy Buoy was generously donated by Whitsunday Rent a Yacht (WRAY), which was auctioned for $9,500. This is the second year WRAY has supported our charity, and we couldn’t be prouder of our association and their support. The winner (Wayne) is a first-time bareboat charterer and is super excited to be heading out to the Whitsundays with friends and family. We look forward to updates from Wayne on his first charter with WRAY (of hopefully many)!"
