Barrington Tops

You may have wondered why there have been few posts over the past few days. The reason is that on Tuesday I was admitted to our local hospital and only got out today. Nothing major, but had to be put on drips and antibiotics.

Most of the nursing staff were wonderful in their care of me. I was comparing my stay at hospital to a stay at a hotel or resort. The better hotels have staff that make you feel very welcome and special. Perhaps some nurses would benefit from doing a week long placement at one of these hotels to learn how to better relate to patients.  Simple things like saying hello and goodbye and looking at a person when talking to them.

At least it was warm in hospital as most parts of Australia have experienced a cold snap. It has snowed on the Alps, in Orange and on our nearby Barrington Tops.
