Jopikgården lodge, Hindersön Island Sweden

Located off the Swedish mainland in the Bay of Bothnia, the island of Hindersön is home to the new four room Jopikgården lodge, which opens in December 202. 

The secluded and private wilderness setting is reached via an 8 km drive stretch on an ice road, which takes visitors over the sea to the island. It is also possible to meet a team of dogs and take a husky ride out to the island. Guided activities include :

• snowshoeing & firemaking
• dog sledding and skiing
• trips to the pack ice and ice fishing
• fat biking on snow and ice, and
• the chance to experience the Northern Lights from an island away from city lights. 

A winter archipelago 4-day Arctic escape will be available from 18 December 2020 to 15 March 2021. Luleå Archipelago Adventures is a small tourism company specialising in group experiences and boutique accommodation in the Luleå Archipelago year-round. Activities are primarily human- powered with traditional Swedish meals and fika prepared fireside to highlight being on the ice or by the water.
