The two-day festival includes activities bearing traditional cultural features, including an offering ceremony at Chieng Ngam Temple worshipping three tutelary gods Xieu Bo, Xieu Ke, and Xieu Luong who formed Bo, Ke, and Luong villages, respectively.
The festival goers also have the chance to join entertainment activities, such as a crossbow competition, “nem con” (throwing a sacred ball through the ring), “nhay sap” (bamboo dance), a cuisine contest, an embroidery contest, a weaving contest, a writing contest of the letters of the Thai ethnic group, a Hang Bua beauty contest, and more.
Located on Pha En Limestone Mountain in northern Quy Chau district, the cave, associated with historical legends, customs, traditions, and cultural activities of the Thai ethnic people, was formed millions of years ago during the process of plate tectonics.
