Destination NSW has this week launched a dedicated website, hosted in China, to promote Sydney and NSW to the State’s top inbound tourism market.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism and Major Events Troy Grant said the site was specifically designed with the needs, interests and visual preferences of Chinese travellers in mind.
“People living in China who have access to the internet can now visit sydney.cn. The website will be available in traditional and simplified Chinese, as well as in English, and features some of our State’s best destinations and key experiences,” Mr Grant said.
“China is the number one inbound market for NSW. In the year ending September, more than 443,000 Chinese visitors stayed 12.1 million nights in NSW and spent more than $1.5 billion during their stay.”
“It makes sense that we have a dedicated, custom made, easy to access website to ensure potential visitors from China can access the information they need to help plan their next holiday to Sydney and Regional NSW,” he said.
