The district of Old Sacramento harkens back to the city’s Rush era, with wooden sidewalks and wagon rides.
One of several museums in Old Sacramento, the California State Railroad Museum depicts the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad, one of the country’s earliest technological feats.
Sacramento is also America's self-styled Farm-to-Fork Capital offering farm-fresh restaurants, farmers markets and home-grown breweries.

- Golden Sky
14 and 15 October 2023 Golden Sky is a country music festival with attendees able to line dance in the River City Saloon and enjoy food from some of Sacramento’s best restaurants at The Farm House. www.goldenskyfestival.com
