Ranch riding in Jordan |
Riders should be physically fit as they will be in the saddle for up to five hours a day, and must be able to trot and canter. The 10-day itineraries include six days of riding, with the option to canter across lengthy stretches of the Barragh Canyon in Wadi Rum. Jordan is an Arab nation on the east bank of the Jordan River that is defined by ancient monuments, nature reserves and seaside resorts.
The archaeological site of the ‘Rose Palace of Petra’ is found here along with the Nabatean capital dating to 300 BC. As such Jordan offers a wealth of history, dating back to the Paleolithic period, archaeological treasures or lunar-like landscapes Many who come to Jordan are also looking to retrace the journey of Captain T.E. Lawrence, the iconic ‘Lawrence of Arabia’. Ranch Rider's Jordan riding holidays start and finish in Amman with guided visits to Madaba and Petra, and there is the option of a Red Sea or Amman extension. Ranch Rider also offers riding holidays in the US, Canada, Argentina, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya, Jordan and Mexico. https://www.canva.com/design/DAE9l1TB2iE/watch
