Three Destinations in Canada Recognized in New York Times 2022 Travel List

This year’s New York Times list of the top 52 places to visit highlighted destinations “where travellers can be a part of the solution”. Newfoundland & Labrador’s Fogo Island was listed at number 17, Vancouver Island at number 40, and Thaiden Nëné National Park Reserve at number 50. We are proud to see these destinations recognized for their contribution to improving the well-being of economies, communities, and visitors.

Getting to Fogo Island and Change IslandsFogo Island is in central Newfoundland and can be reached by taking Route 330 north from Gander to the ferry service that runs from Farewell (via Route 331 and 335). The ferry sails visitors to Change Islands in 25 minutes, while the crossing from Farewell to Fogo Island is approximately 50 minutes.
