According to the General Statistics Office, international visitors to Viet Nam in April of 2016 estimated 789,484 arrivals, increasing 11.9% over the same period last year and decreasing 3.8% over last month.
By means of transportation, the visitors to Viet Nam by air estimated 661,484 arrivals, accounting for 83.8% of the total int’l arrivals; by sea: 13,569 arrivals and by road: 114,431 arrivals, accounting for 1.7% and 14.5% respectively.
Total international arrivals to Viet Nam in 4 months of 2016 reached 3,248,634 arrivals, increasing 17.8% over the same period last year, including 2,684,044 arrivals by air; 50,603 arrivals by sea and 549,987 arrivals by road.

The number of domestic trippers in the first 4 months of 2016 estimated 22.8 millions including 11.2 millions of overnight guests; total tourism receipts reached VND 135,796 billions, up 19.6% over the same period last year.
