Festival Fringe to expand the line-up of evening entertainment this TCMF

The introduction of a brand-new Festival Fringe program will expand the evening entertainment on offer this TCMF, with bright and colourful performers set to fill the Kable Avenue and Fitzroy Street intersection well into the night.

Held each night from Friday 17 to Sunday 26 January, Festival Fringe will feature an outstanding and hilarious array of juggling, balancing, bending, dancing and tossing performances; and festival goers of all ages are encouraged to stop by and enjoy the shows.

Event Coordinator, Michaela Stevens said the Festival Fringe line up will create a night-time scene that is of similar style to the much-loved busking and street performances.

“The new Festival Fringe program has been introduced to create the bright and bustling atmosphere that we find fills the CBD during the day, into the night.

“Be it on your way to a concert in Toyota Park, as you’re wandering between venues, or even on your way home from a show; if you’re looking for something a little different we encourage you to stop by Festival Fringe for what we guarantee will be a great show every night.”

The Festival Fringe line-up is made up of performances from Pandora Pink, a physically hysterical performer who presents a skilful clownesque cigar-box and sassy hat routine; Mr Spin, a highly skilled, comic vaudevillian styled street and circus act; Uno One of Many, a master manipulator of mallets; The Doogans, who pay tribute to the classic vaudevillian greats of the 20th Century through their quirky and improvised chit chat, dancing and phenomenal circus skills; comedian contortionist, Bendy Em; as well as professional Fire and Light performances, Unicyclists, Jugglers, Buskers and more! There will also be free face painting available from 7pm to 9pm each night.

“If you’re looking to get out and about in the cool of the night during TCMF, Festival Fringe is certainly a spot to visit,” concluded Michaela.
