Auckland Convention Bureau Update June 2106

The temperature has finally dropped in Auckland, but the team has been red-hot with activity since our last update. The next big event on the ACB agenda is MEETINGS 2016 and as host city sponsor we look forward to welcoming you to this fantastic tradeshow and to Auckland.

You don’t have to wait for a tradeshow to catch up with us though; the team is always out and about at industry events throughout New Zealand and Australia. No matter where you are, we’re always happy to hear from you.

Autumn and winter are busier than ever in the business events industry, with back-to-back tradeshows and industry events.

CONVENE

The Convene 2016 tradeshow on 12 April, and its pre-event famil hosted by ACB on 11 April, was hailed a major success. The 40 famil participants discovered a number of Auckland’s city fringe venues and conference and event suppliers, and enjoyed a delectable lunch at Little Wolf’s newest venue Wolf of Water Street.

MEETINGS 2016

As host city, we’re looking forward to welcoming more than 200 conference and event planners from New Zealand, Australia and around the world to the MEETINGS 2016 tradeshow in Auckland next month. On 15 and 16 June, New Zealand’s business events industry will be out in force at ASB Showgrounds – make sure you visit the Auckland Convention Bureau stand and the Auckland regional stand to find fresh ideas for your next event.

Auckland on show in Wellington

Wellington conference and event planners joined us at Te Papa on 17 May to find out how to create a bright, bold and unique event in Auckland. As well as meeting a wide variety of exhibiting Auckland partners, planners enjoyed a specially designed menu, live dance performance, a bespoke art installation that got the crowd talking, and colourful prizes and gifts.
