Sue Sullivan has resigned as Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Chief Executive.
She will be leaving the association at the end of November to take up a new role in Canterbury, as Chief Executive of Christchurch and Hanmer Attractions.
“New Zealand’s business events industry is set for great things, and I am privileged to have worked with an amazing team and many hundreds of our members in this vibrant, exciting sector,” she says.
CINZ Board Chair, Tony Gardner says Sue has been outstanding in leading CINZ since her appointment in June 2014 and she taken the organisation into a new chapter of member-focused industry leadership.
"Over five successful years, Sue has done a remarkable job leading CINZ from a time of uncertainty to today’s important role in the sector. Her non-stop drive and straight-up leadership have been powerful in creating value for members and the industry,” he says.
“We will miss her, but she is going to an exciting new opportunity in her home region of Canterbury and we wish her all the best,” he says.
The process to find a new Chief Executive has begun. Those interested in applying for the role should contact Sharon Edwards by email: s.edwards@nzconventions.co.nz.
CINZ www.conventionsnz.co.nz is the official, membership-based association of New Zealand’s conference and business events industry with more than 460 members across a broad range of sectors.
