Public Service Announcement - Valentine's Day is nearly Here!

IS THE LANGHAM, MELBOURNE THE CITY'S MOST ROMANTIC HOTEL?
GUESTS KEEP WRITING IN TO SAY IT'S THE ULTIMATE HOTEL FOR ROMANCE IN MELBOURNE
Maybe it's the flowers. Perhaps it's the pink. It might be the Champagne, the attentive service or the view, but one thing is for certain, guests of The Langham, Melbourne keep coming back to celebrate romantic occasions, including Valentine's Day.
On Thursday 14 February 2019, couples will once again flock to the hotel to be pampered, indulge in Melba Restaurant's decadent offerings from the open kitchen, sip red-hued cocktails at Aria Bar & Lounge or even spend the night in one of the city's only suites to boast an expansive outdoor terrace with sweeping views of the city's skyline and Yarra River.
“When I joined The Langham, Melbourne just over a month ago, I started reading our guest comments. One common thread was that guests were consistently writing in to tell us that they enjoyed the hotel for romantic occasions such as a spouse's birthday, an engagement or to celebrate an anniversary,” explains Andrew Jessop, the hotel's new Managing Director.
“For Valentine's Day this year we're bringing in a photo booth so couples can capture the moment, there will also be plenty of Insta-worthy balloons and our distinctive floral display will be a stand-out. Plus, Melba Restaurant will feature known aphrodisiacs: oysters, strawberries and a molten chocolate fountain,” adds Jessop.
For dinner, Melba Restaurant's impressive open kitchen will also serve seafood lovers' favourites including Tasmanian black mussels, Alaskan king crab, vanilla-poached Moreton Bay bugs, cooked prawns, salmon gravlax, prawn cocktail, an expansive selection of sushi and sashimi, ravioli with chilli garlic prawns and sage butter, Harayali fish tikka, stir-fried Hokkien noodles with calamari and Canadian scallops and lime and dill marinated Atlantic salmon with Champagne beurre blanc.
Meat lovers are being catered for too with garlic and thyme marinated grass-fed beef sirloin, grilled grain-fed beef with porcini cream, slow-roasted pork and saltbush lamb.
For those with a sweet tooth, there will be plenty of temptation. Diners are encouraged to save room for strawberry and cream cheese éclairs, Champagne and lychee macarons, raspberry and white chocolate verrines with rose spaghetti, Bailey's crème brulée and the restaurant's unmissable strawberry chocolate fountain.
Dinner on Valentine's Day is $165.00 per person or $195.00 per person inclusive of a guaranteed window table and a glass of premium sparkling wine on arrival.
For those in a celebratory mood, Perrier Jouet Grand Brut Champagne is available for the special price of $99.00 per bottle while others may choose to enjoy free-flowing sparkling wine or Crown lager for $30.00 per person.
Dinner is available from 5pm until 7.30pm and 8.30pm until 11pm.
Bookings can be made by contacting rest.res@langhamhotels.com or by calling 1800 641 107.
