Wildflower photo competition underway

Australia's Golden Outback's wildflower photo competition is back for another year, giving budding photographers and wildflower enthusiasts the opportunity to showcase their favourite snaps. 

WA is famous for its unique and beautiful wildflowers, and to celebrate the Golden Outback is encouraging tourists and locals to share their wildflower images online. 

People can enter via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, by simply following Australia's Golden Outback and using the hashtag #AGOwildflowers. 

The winner will receive a cash prize and their image will be featured in Australia's Golden Outback's marketing material. 

Western Australian wildflowers bloom in their billions after the winter rains and transform the beautifully rugged Golden Outback landscape into a brightly-coloured wonderland. Here, you can picnic on a blanket of pink, yellow and white everlastings stretching as far as the eye can see, and marvel at over 12,000 wildflower species, including the striking wreath leschenaultia and Royal Hakea.
