A large number of spectators will gather at the Solo’s Manahan
Stadium in Solo, Central Java Province from the 17th to 28th September,
2014 to watch the 38th Conseil International Du Sport Militaire (CISM)
World Military Parachuting Championship.
60 nations will be participating in this global parachuting
tournament from 134 member countries of the International Military Sport
Council (CISM). 11 delegate countries Australia, Brunei Darussalam,
Cambodia, Hongkong, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand,
and Singapore have been invited.
Solo has been chosen as the venue for this event as there is less
traffic congestion compared to city’s like Bali, Yogyakarta, or
Surabaya.
The goal of this event is to promote world peace by bringing military’s of different nation to combat is sports rather than war.
