The State’s largest annual air show, Wings Over Illawarra, will take place this weekend with jaw-dropping aerobatics and modern aircraft set to amaze visitors.
Supported by Destination NSW to 2019, the event will showcase one of the best aerial displays Australia has to offer.
Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said in 2016, the air show delivered more than 4,300 overnight visitors to the South Coast who injected $1.18 million into the NSW economy.
“Its events such as Wings Over Illawarra that provide visitors with an opportunity to take a short break and further explore the region’s picturesque country towns, fresh seafood and beautiful white sandy beaches.”
“I encourage aviation enthusiasts who haven’t yet booked tickets, to plan a trip to the Illawarra this weekend.”
For the first time this year’s event will also introduce a Aviatex – a three-day trade expo that caters for businesses in the aviation sector to highlight their products and services to a captive audience.
