Running across nine days, the new Little Chef program will offer more than 30 free cooking masterclasses, giving up to 300 young food lovers the opportunity to step into a purpose-built workshop kitchen and learn practical culinary skills from experienced chefs.
Free Cooking Classes for Kids in Darling Harbour
Little Chef will take place on Darling Quarter's North Village Green in the heart of Darling Harbour. The program brings together popular Darling Quarter food retailers and neighbouring businesses to introduce children to cooking in a fun, supportive environment.
Participating food favourites include Kürtősh, Dopa Donburi & Dessert, Vesta Italian and Chatime, together with neighbouring businesses Cinnabon and Gostoso Churros.
Children can make and decorate a Kürtősh Kid Cube, create bubble tea with Chatime, prepare Dopa's popular Karaage Chicken Doki Box or learn how to stretch and top pizza dough with Vesta Italian.
Each masterclass provides a different culinary experience, encouraging children to return for another session and discover new skills.

Morgan began cooking when he was just seven years old and opened Bistro Morgan at 15. He later became a guest judge on Junior MasterChef Australia and the youngest competitor on Dessert Masters.
Now 25, Morgan has built a successful hospitality career from his early passion for cooking, making his story an inspiring example for children discovering their own interest in food.
Cooking, Creativity and Confidence
Each 90-minute Little Chef masterclass is designed to give children the experience of being a chef. With guidance from industry professionals, participants can mix, roll, shape, decorate, assemble and create a variety of dishes while learning simple culinary techniques.
Sessions are tailored to different age groups, with intentionally small groups helping activities remain engaging and age appropriate. Younger children can concentrate on mixing, decorating and assembling, while older participants can explore more advanced food preparation techniques.
Children can take home a recipe card, Junior Chef apron, Little Chef certificate and commemorative badge, helping them recreate their new cooking skills at home.
A Relaxing Space for Parents

The viewing area provides food and beverage options from Darling Quarter retailers, allowing adults to unwind, catch up with friends or watch the budding chefs while remaining close to their children.
Darling Quarter Senior Marketing Manager Lucia Eman said Little Chef was designed to be more than entertainment, giving children opportunities to learn practical skills, express creativity and experience the satisfaction of making something themselves.
