Cronulla Welcomes Meadow, A Stylish New Music Room, Bar and Bistro

Cronulla’s dining and nightlife scene has welcomed an exciting new addition with the opening of Meadow, a sophisticated day-to-night music room, bar and bistro from Adam and Kylie Micola, directors of Anyway Hospitality and the team behind the much-loved Bobbys in Cronulla.

Occupying the former Papa J’s cocktail bar site, Meadow brings together relaxed coastal hospitality, European-inspired dining, curated cocktails and a carefully crafted music programme in one vibrant destination.

With natural light, ocean views, soaring ceilings and a prime Cronulla location, the venue has been designed as a space where guests can comfortably move from lunch and afternoon aperitivo to dinner, drinks and late-night music.

According to owner Adam Micola, Meadow was created as a place where people can linger, connect and enjoy experiences that evolve naturally from day into evening.

A European Bistro Inspired Menu Designed For Every Occasion

The culinary direction at Meadow comes from group executive chef Pablo Tordesillas, who has created a menu inspired by approachable European neighbourhood bistros.

The opening menu offers refined small plates, elegant mains and share-friendly dishes suitable for casual lunches, date nights, family gatherings and social evenings with friends.

Standout dishes include gougères with comté and Cantabrian anchovy, beef tartare toast with piparras, raw tuna with bergamot, crème fraîche and potato, and braised octopus Provençal with pimento d'Espelette.

Larger plates continue the bistro theme with Meadow’s aged cheeseburger featuring café de Paris butter, baked rigatoni in vodka sauce, and grilled Kidman premium sirloin au poivre served with fries.

Dessert lovers can finish with a comforting banana tarte tatin accompanied by vanilla ice cream.

The menu balances approachable comfort with refined technique, delivering flavours that suit both casual dining and special occasions in Sydney’s southern suburbs.

Australian Wines, Classic Cocktails and Daily Aperitivo Hours

Meadow
The beverage programme at Meadow has been curated by sommelier and winemaker Nick Rosa, with a strong emphasis on Australian wines and sustainable producers.

The wine list celebrates domestic winemakers who embrace biodynamic, organic and environmentally conscious farming methods, while also incorporating French influences and selected international classics.

Guests can explore a collection of approximately 120 to 150 wines, including premium bottles, cult labels, magnums and around 15 wines available by the glass.

Cocktail enthusiasts will find an easy-drinking classic drinks menu featuring 11 signature cocktails, a dedicated margarita section and miniature serves designed for tasting and sharing.

One of Meadow’s standout experiences is its daily aperitivo hour from 4pm to 6pm, offering attractively priced cocktails such as the French 75, white negroni, Americano and the venue’s own Meadow Mary.

Bar snacks complement the drinks offering with Sydney rock oysters, duck liver parfait and house smoked ocean trout rillettes.

Live Music, Vinyl Records and A Venue Designed Around Atmosphere

Music sits at the heart of Meadow’s identity.

The venue’s music programme has been developed by renowned DJ and producer Mitchell Wick, with vinyl records creating a laid-back soundtrack throughout the day.

Weekend afternoons feature live jazz duos, while evenings transition into late-night DJ sessions that enhance the mood without overwhelming conversation.

This balance between music, hospitality and social connection is central to Meadow’s concept.

The interior design, created by acclaimed studio Tom Mark Henry, reflects the venue’s evolving day-to-night atmosphere.

Warm sunset-inspired colours, burnt orange and terracotta banquettes, blue accents surrounding the DJ booth and a sparkling disco ball combine to create a contemporary yet welcoming environment.

A striking mustard-green serpentine banquette anchors the room, while a dramatic honey-toned stone bar with aqua veining serves as the venue’s visual centrepiece.

With seating for 94 guests and capacity for up to 120 people, Meadow offers a versatile setting for drinks, dining and music in the heart of Cronulla.

Why Meadow Could Become Cronulla’s New Must Visit Dining Destination

Meadow
As Sydney diners increasingly seek venues that combine quality food, curated drinks, live entertainment and relaxed hospitality, Meadow arrives with all the ingredients needed to become a standout destination.

From European-style dining and Australian wines to vinyl soundtracks and ocean-adjacent ambience, Meadow captures the evolving spirit of modern Cronulla dining.

Whether stopping in for lunch, cocktails, aperitivo hour, live music or a full evening out, Meadow delivers a fresh new hospitality experience on Sydney’s southern coastline.
