The 2025 Kingaroy BaconFest in Queensland’s South Burnett region isn’t just a festival—it’s a full-flavoured adventure. This year, bacon lovers can get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the region’s rich farming heritage with the brand-new Farmgate to Festival Regional Tour, a prelude to the main event that promises a deeper connection to the land, the people, and the passion that put Kingaroy on the food-lover’s map.
Step Behind the Gate and Meet the Makers
The Farmgate to Festival Regional Tour on Friday, 15 August 2025, gives festivalgoers an intimate opportunity to connect with six outstanding local producers. On this one-day guided tour, guests will travel by bus from Kingaroy to nearby farms, orchards, and vineyards, gaining insights into sustainable farming, local produce, and the rural lifestyle of South Burnett.The line-up of stops includes:

BaconFest 2025: Tastes, Tunes, and Talent
Once the tour winds down, the real party begins. From 16–17 August, Kingaroy will sizzle with excitement during the main BaconFest weekend. From bacon-inspired bites to live entertainment, the festival brings together locals and visitors in celebration of culinary creativity and community pride.Saturday night’s entertainment will be headlined by none other than Troy Cassar-Daley, a legend in Australian country music. He’ll be joined by rising local talent Amber Goldsmith and a lineup that promises to have the crowd singing and dancing into the evening.
Foodies can also look forward to the return of beloved celebrity chef Alastair McLeod, who will lead live cooking demos packed with flavour, flair, and, of course, bacon.
