Over two days, MEETINGS 2025 brought together more than 1,200 delegates, hosting a remarkable 8,000 one-on-one appointments at Auckland Showgrounds. The event served as both a networking powerhouse and a creative launchpad, giving organisers and suppliers a platform to collaborate, innovate and plan future events across the country.
A Showcase of Aotearoa's Hospitality and Heart
BEIA Chief Executive Lisa Hopkins praised the event’s atmosphere and the warm spirit that permeated every corner of the exhibition floor. From immersive regional activations to cultural showcases, the event spotlighted the diversity of experiences available across New Zealand.Buyers from Australia and international markets expressed appreciation for the blend of creativity, professionalism, and heartfelt welcome shown by exhibitors. The social events also proved a hit, offering attendees a taste of uniquely Aotearoa hospitality.

“There are lots of options and something different for groups from 100 to 1000, plus small incentive groups,” she said. “The regions all have a real sense of community, and venues and suppliers are open to being adaptable for bespoke events. If I can dream it, they can do it.”
Angela Webster of Fable Hotels and Resorts emphasised the convenience and opportunity of having the entire country under one roof. “MEETINGS reminds everyone how amazing New Zealand is. It’s all about connecting with new people, and reconnecting with others. Attending MEETINGS every year cements these valuable relationships,” she said.
A Regatta-Themed Night of Celebration
MEETINGS 2025 culminated in a vibrant closing celebration themed Regatta!, paying tribute to Auckland’s rich maritime legacy. Hosted in partnership with Auckland Conventions, Venues and Events, The Events Group, Urban Gourmet, and Flock Events, the evening was a dazzling combination of food, design, and entertainment.The highlight of the night was a high-energy performance from Sonar Flare, New Zealand’s newest supergroup, featuring members of legendary bands like Opshop, Zed, and The Feelers. The celebration continued well into the night with the official after-party at QT Auckland’s rooftop bar.

Next year’s event promises to be even bigger, as MEETINGS 2026 is set to take place at the new New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) on 17 and 18 June.
