New Zealand’s biggest business events showcase is set to unfold next week at Auckland Showgrounds, as MEETINGS 2025 brings together more than 550 hosted buyers and 253 exhibitors from across the country. This two-day event, taking place on 11 and 12 June, is the ultimate platform for those planning conferences, corporate meetings, incentive travel experiences, exhibitions, and roadshows in Aotearoa.
The event kicks off on Tuesday 10 June with a welcome at Eden Park, hosted by Hon Louise Upston, Minister of Tourism and Hospitality, alongside Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown.
A Legacy of Business Event Excellence
Since its inception in 1997, MEETINGS has been run annually by Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA), the peak industry association representing New Zealand’s business events sector. After a four-year hiatus, the event makes a much-anticipated return to Auckland, attracting record numbers of attendees and showcasing 35 new exhibitors.
BEIA’s members include hotels, convention centres, regional tourism bureaux, event suppliers, and organisers, all working collaboratively to grow the business events sector as a key part of New Zealand’s visitor economy.
Australia and the World Come to Aotearoa
One of the highlights of MEETINGS 2025 is the unprecedented international interest. A record 126 business event organisers from Australia are attending, joined by international buyers and a strong domestic contingent of planners eager to explore what New Zealand offers for high-impact events.
With the support of Air New Zealand and seven regional convention bureaux, 64 Australian buyers will enjoy hosted visits to regional destinations before and after the exhibition, while others will get a taste of Tāmaki Makaurau during a guided city tour hosted by Auckland Convention Bureau.

BEIA also plays a key role in capability development, offering professional education and accreditation to the more than 460 organisations it represents.
A Productive Marketplace for Event Planners
MEETINGS isn’t just a trade show—it’s a productive marketplace. Last year’s event generated over $110 million in business bookings through face-to-face, pre-scheduled appointments. For buyers, it's a rare opportunity to connect with the entire spectrum of New Zealand’s event providers in one place, explore new infrastructure, and learn about the support available for hosting business events around the country.
Industry Access and Free Registration
For those wanting a glimpse of the action, Industry Hours from 2.30pm to 4.00pm on both Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 June provide open access to the show floor. Day Buyer registration is still open and free of charge.
