| Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) |
The Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) returns from 11–13 July 2025, promising an unforgettable cultural experience at the iconic Tanks Arts Centre. As Queensland’s premier event showcasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture, CIAF brings together artists, curators, collectors, and visitors from across the nation and beyond for a weekend rich in storytelling, creativity, and connection.
Exciting New Programs for 2025
This year, CIAF introduces two powerful new additions to its growing program. The CIAF On Country (VIP Program) offers a deeper, more personal cultural experience, hosted by acclaimed contemporary artist Tony Albert. This exclusive program will take guests beyond the gallery walls and into a meaningful exploration of Country, guided by one of the most influential voices in the First Nations art world.
Also making its debut is the CIAF Collectors Program, tailored for serious art lovers and collectors. Led by renowned First Nations curator Bruce Johnson McLean, this initiative provides behind-the-scenes access to artists, studios, and works, giving collectors a rare opportunity to engage with the stories, techniques, and contexts that shape each piece.
More Than an Art Fair
CIAF is more than an art event — it’s a cultural movement. Through exhibitions, performances, talks, and workshops, it celebrates the depth and diversity of First Nations voices. The fair supports emerging and established artists alike, while offering visitors the chance to connect directly with creators and gain a deeper appreciation for the cultural richness of Far North Queensland.
Be Part of Something Meaningful
Held at the Tanks Arts Centre, set amidst Cairns’ lush Botanic Gardens, CIAF 2025 promises an immersive and inspiring experience for all who attend. Whether you're an art collector, cultural enthusiast, or simply curious, now is the time to register your interest and plan your visit.
