Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival

More than 60,000 visitors are expected to celebrate the festival’s golden anniversary, the region’s harvest and embrace the festival theme, ‘When In Rome’. This biennial festival launches with a street market and the switching on of the carnival lights followed by ten days of events.

Noosa Festival of Surfing

Surfers from around the world will converge on the Noosa foreshore to compete across more than 30 divisions including longboard, short board, stand-up paddle boarding and even dog surfing! Renowned for the perfect peeling waves off First Point, Noosa is the ideal location for the festival which also features an entertainment village on the sand in front of the break with licensed bar and food franchises, live music and movies nightly, and a surf expo featuring the latest in surfboards and surf wear.

World Science Festival

Hold on to your Bunsen burners! All eyes will be on Brisbane to celebrate the intersection of science and art during the inaugural World Science Festival – the first time it has been held outside of New York City. If previous events are anything to go by, expect a program in which astronauts share their tips for going to the bathroom in space, kids play with computer microscopes, and food trucks compete for road space with robots. Even those without the brilliance of Einstein are bound to find something to delight and amuse.

CMC Rocks QLD & CMC Music Awards

Billed as Australia’s biggest international country music festival, CMC Rocks QLD is coming back bigger and better in 2016 to its Willowbank home. In a major coup, organisers have announced that Jason Aldean, one of the biggest superstar acts in American music, will headline the March event.
