Matt Pearce, Director, Talk2 Media & Events

Matt Pearce brings more than twenty-five years of experience in the media industries across the UK, Australia, and the Asia Pacific region. With a strong track record in leadership roles, Matt has played a key role in shaping the company's strategic vision. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Business Events Association of Australia and a board member of UFI, the international association for exhibitions. His previous roles include International Director at Diversified Business Communications Inc., Managing Director of Diversified Exhibitions Australia Pty Ltd, and General Manager – Publishing at PMP. Additionally, Matt has a rich history of involvement in the events sector as the past Chair of the Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia. His extensive background in both media and events positions him as a highly respected leader in the industry.

Steve Malbourne, Director, Talk2 Media & Events

Steve Malbourne is another pivotal figure at Talk2 Media & Events. With twenty years of experience in finance, Steve’s expertise lies in the media and creative industries, both in Europe and Australia. He began his career in London with the Publicis group, quickly progressing through senior roles in their design business. Between 2007 and early 2016, Steve held several key positions at Diversified Communications, including Finance Manager, Finance Director for Australia, and finally Finance Director for all Asia Pacific entities. A CPA and graduate of a Wharton executive course, Steve’s financial acumen has been instrumental in driving the growth and operational success of Talk2 Media & Events.

Silke Calder is an experienced sales and event specialist who brings over 20 years of experience to the Talk2 Media & Events team. Having worked across various fields, including events, trade fairs, and the creative/agency sector, Silke has honed exceptional communication and negotiation skills in both German and English. Her ability to build long-term client relationships and lead teams has made her a vital part of Talk2 Media & Events’ success. Silke previously served as the Head of Sales Guest Events at Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH and has also worked with companies across Germany, Australia, and the UAE. Her international mindset and wealth of experience make her an invaluable asset to the team, especially in driving the success of AIME and supporting international business development.
