Following the overwhelming success of The Grandparents Club, the creative team behind last year’s hit production is back with an all-new stage spectacle.

This 90-minute musical comedy promises to delight audiences across Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and New South Wales, from 9 July to 19 October 2025. With tickets now on sale, this is a show not to be missed!

A Celebration of Grandparent Life on the High Seas

Prepare for side-splitting laughs, catchy tunes, and highly relatable characters as four fun-loving grandparents embark on a cruise to cut loose and indulge in some well-deserved fun. Set on the SS Grand Times, audiences will be swept into an interactive and entertaining journey guided by cruise director Jimmy Bigelow and his lively grandparent crew.

Despite the inevitable onshore family dramas and moments of longing for their grandkids, the cruise promises to be an adventure of a lifetime!

Cruising with The Grandparents Club

Written by renowned Australian playwright Richard Tulloch (Bananas in Pyjamas, Hating Alison Ashley, The Book of Everything), this musical is a heartwarming tribute to the grandparent experience. Tulloch, a grandparent himself, shared his excitement, saying, “It’s a refreshing change to be writing for and about grandparents. As an ‘Opa’ to four grandkids, I have endless inspiration!”

Bringing the show to life musically is multi-award-winning composer John Field (The Cockroaches, The Wiggles), who has infused the production with the timeless sounds of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

The all-Australian creative team includes Helpmann award-winning director Luke Joslin (Grease the Musical 2024) and choreographer Leanne Halloran, ensuring a top-tier theatrical experience.
