70th Anniversary Celebration: A Year-Long Festivity
Starting May 16, 2025, Disneyland® Resort will kick off a grand year-long celebration to commemorate seven decades of happiness. The festivities will span across both Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park, bringing guests a spectacular array of entertainment and awe-inspiring decor.
One of the most notable features of the 70th anniversary celebration will be a commemorative 70th-anniversary medallion prominently displayed on Sleeping Beauty Castle, along with special costumes for beloved characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and more. But the magic doesn’t stop there!
Prepare to be wowed by two incredible nighttime spectaculars. The Wondrous Journeys show, which will now feature enhanced fireworks on select nights, offers a breathtaking mix of Disney classics and modern favorites. Over at Disney California Adventure® Park, guests can enjoy the all-new World of Color: Happiness!, an exhilarating display of fountains, lasers, and colorful projections that brings beloved Disney and Pixar films to life in dazzling style.
Throughout the year, the Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy! cavalcade will bring Mickey and his pals to the streets, joining in the party alongside various performances, special celebrations, and themed parties.
Returning Parades and New Experiences

Meanwhile, over at Disney California Adventure® Park, the Adventure’s Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration will bring to life some of Pixar’s most iconic characters, including those from Turning Red and Luca, through music, floats, and captivating performances.
Additionally, Disneyland® Park will debut a new projection show at the iconic it’s a small world attraction, and the new theme song, “Celebrate Happy,” will tie together the year’s many festive events.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure & Expanded New Orleans Square
One of the most anticipated openings in 2025 is the debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which will replace the beloved Splash Mountain. This reimagined attraction will immerse guests in the magic of the bayou as Princess Tiana prepares for a Mardi Gras celebration, with new stories and plenty of magical moments along the way.
In addition, New Orleans Square will undergo a transformation with enhancements that further bring Tiana’s world to life. Enjoy live jazz music, new dining options serving up authentic Creole flavors, and retail experiences that capture the spirit of New Orleans. It’s an exciting new chapter for this already beloved corner of the park.
Seasonal Festivals and Special Events
2025 will be a year packed with seasonal events that cater to every type of Disney fan:
Lunar New Year (Jan. 17–Feb. 16): Celebrate the Year of the Snake with vibrant cultural performances, delicious Asian-inspired dishes, and themed entertainment across the parks.
Food & Wine Festival (Feb. 28–April 21): Indulge in the best of California cuisine at the marketplace kiosks, meet Chef Goofy, and enjoy live cooking demos from top chefs.
Season of the Force (March 28–May 11): Star Wars fans can immerse themselves in the excitement of Galaxy’s Edge, with attractions like Hyperspace Mountain, evening projection shows, and photo ops with iconic characters from the Star Wars universe.
Avengers Campus Expansion
The excitement at Disney California Adventure® Park continues to grow with the expansion of Avengers Campus. Details are under wraps for now, but 2025 promises even more Marvel-themed attractions and hands-on experiences for fans of all ages. Expect thrilling new adventures that will immerse you even deeper into the Marvel Universe.
Downtown Disney® District: New Additions and Dining Delights
Downtown Disney® District will continue to evolve in 2025 with exciting additions like the Disney’s Wonderful World of Sweets shop and the Parkside Market dining hall, both set to open in early 2025. These new spots will complement existing favorites, such as the Avengers Reserve retail store and The D-Lander Shop, creating a vibrant space for dining, shopping, and entertainment.
