Slow Food Earth Market, Maitland
The Slow Food movement was established in Italy in 1986 with the goal of ensuring everyone has access to good, clean and fair food. Now a global movement, its Earth Markets bring this philosophy to local communities. There’s just one in Australia: Maitland’s Slow Food Earth Market. All produce must meet the movement’s defining principles, be sourced from within a specified radius, and the producers must be on site themselves to meet the customers and share their knowledge. Fill your basket with heirloom vegetables, grass-fed meat, biodynamic bread, organic herbs and native spices.

When: First and third Thursday of the month 8.30am-1.30pm
Where: The Levee, High St, Maitland
