I experienced the epitome of luxury and tranquility at the Furama Hotel Darling Harbour, which isa haven for discerning travelers in the heart of Sydney.

I caught a train to Sydney from my hometown in country NSW, then hopped on the light rail outside Central station to the Paddy's Market stop, then walked to the nearby Furama Hotel Darling Harbour.
Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the professional and friendly staff, who efficiently handled my check-in process. The spacious lobby, soon to be refurbished, exudes elegance and sophistication, setting the tone for a memorable stay. My check in process was smoothly dealt with by professional, friendly staff.

My suite included a separate living area and kitchenette. The bedroom had a very comfortable king-sized bed with plenty of pillows. The separate bathroom came with toilet, shower and bathtub.

My 11th-floor corner suite was a masterclass in comfort and style, boasting stunning views, a separate living area, and a kitchenette. The lounge was comfortable to sit on with nearby coffee tables and lamps. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the suite and its furnishings.

The plush king-sized bed, accompanied by an array of pillows, ensured a restful slumber, while the separate bathroom, complete with a bathtub, shower, and toilet, offered the ultimate in relaxation. I soaked in the bathtub several times during my stay. The vanity basin, with a good range of toiletries, was in the dressing area between the bedroom and bathroom. There was a choice of two TV's to watch, one in the living area and the other in the bedroom. These had a good range of TV stations to watch as well as the ability to chromecast from mobile devices. The free WiFi was strong in my suite and the other areas of the hotel.

The fitness centre on the 3rd floor includes a yoga area, treadmill, cardiovascular equipment, stationary bike, bathroom and changing room. The fitness centre has 24 hours complimentary access for hotel guests.

Shipley's Restaurant
Each morning I enjoyed my sumptuous buffet breakfast at Shipley's Restaurant, located within the Furama Hotel. It offers a delectable breakfast buffet that caters to diverse tastes and dietary needs. There is a selection of hot and cold dishes to chose from. There are is a Fresh Fruit Station with seasonal fruits, fruit salads, and fruit juices. The Bread and Pastry Corner has assorted bread, pastries, croissants, and muffins. The Hot Breakfast Station has scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, grilled tomatoes, and mushrooms. The International Corner has congee, noodles, and other international breakfast items. The Yogurt Bar has Greek yogurt and fresh berries. The Beverage Station has freshly brewed coffee, tea, and fruit juices.

As I explored the hotel's surroundings, I discovered a plethora of shopping, dining, and entertainment options at Darling Harbour, as well as the Sydney CBD, just a short walk or light rail ride away. Iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge beckoned, while Hyde Park, the Botanic Gardens, and the scenic Barangaroo Reserve, which is a scenic waterfront park with walking trails and picnic areas, offered tranquil escapes. The nearby International Convention Centre often hosts wold class events. During my stay at the Furama Hotel it was alive with activity as the International Boat Show was on. One evening I went and saw a play at the Theatre Royal Sydney.
