The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) is a statutory body which is functioning under the Ministry of Tourism. Members of the Bureau consist of Professional Conference, Exhibition & Event Organizers, Destination Management companies, Convention Centers, and Hotels. The Bureau works jointly with the national career SriLankan Airlines.

The bureau is entrusted with the responsibility of promoting Sri Lanka as an internationally recognized venue for Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conferences and Exhibitions/Event. SLCB directly assists the Associations to bid for conferences and events and to plan, organize and implement in hosting such events.

The key marketing strategy of the Bureau is to differentiate Sri Lanka from competing countries, particularly in offering value added products based on culture, nature and adventure in addition to beach-oriented products. The country is gifted with diversified unique product range in compactness within short distance of travel from Seductive beaches, magnificent landscapes, and inspiring heritage sites. Sri Lanka is famous for her hospitable people of various ethnicity and religions.

Sri Lanka has risen against all odds and best arrival figures were recorded in 2023 since pandemic. Today, Sri Lanka is one of the safest countries in the world which is heading towards massive development that is placed on a fast track.
