Kushiro Shitsugen National Park

Located in Hokkaido Prefecture, Kushiro Shitsugen National Park, also known as Kushiro Marshland in English, was registered as a Ramsar Site in 1980 and was later designated as a National Park in 1987.

Encompassing an area of approximately 287 square kilometres, this national park is home to a diverse range of exclusive flora, fauna, and wildlife.

Depending on the season, you may be able to see or hear these creatures when you visit!

With so much to take in, the Onnenai Visitor Center serves as an excellent entry point!

Here, you can find out more about the marshland, take a leisurely stroll along a 3.1-kilometre wooden boardwalk, and rest up after your adventure!
