SHOP THE BEST HOLIDAY CRAFT MARKETS IN LOS ANGELES

Unique gifts by talented creatives from LA and beyond

Surprise your loved ones with unexpected holiday gifts this year by hitting up one of this year’s holiday markets. From mid-November through most of December, events will be popping up across Los Angeles and in nearby suburbs to bring a wide variety of goods from indie businesses to holiday shoppers.

Aside from being one-stop shops, L.A.’s holiday markets can help make gift-giving a bit more sustainable. These marketplaces focus primarily on local businesses and two of the events listed below are centered around vintage clothing and goods. Plan to spend a few hours browsing; most of the events listed here also have food and entertainment components.

WESTFIELD CENTURY CITY (NOV. 24 - DEC. 26, 2023)

WEST COAST CRAFT MARKET - ROW DTLA (DEC. 9, 2023)

The holiday edition of West Coast Craft Market will bring together more than 175 of the best artists and designer craftspeople. The one-day, outdoor market will take place at ROW DTLA on Saturday, December 9 from 11am to 4pm. Free entry, all ages and leashed pets are welcome!

MAUM MARKET - ROW DTLA (DEC. 16, 2023)

Meaning “heart and mind” in Korean, MAUM “마음” was launched in January 2022 by Arnold Byun and Kioh Park to showcase Asian-owned small businesses. Located at ROW DTLA, the monthly marketplace features more than 70 AAPI makers spanning Art/Home, Fashion and Snacks/Drinks. The next MAUM Market will take place from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, December 16. MAUM will also be popping up at Platform in Culver City on Sunday, December 10. Tickets to both events are $5 and on sale at Tock.

CUTIES QUEER HOLIDAY NITE MARKET (DEC. 7, 2023)

Cuties is a Black and queer-owned community space providing resources and events, both virtually and in-person, to the LGBTQIA+ community. Based in Los Angeles, Cuties began as a coffee shop and safe space focused on providing queer community and a place to gather that wasn’t centered around alcohol.
The Cuties Queer Holiday Nite Market is taking place from 4pm-11pm on Thursday, December 7 at Siesta Day Club + Juice Bar in Downtown LA. Ticket and vendor info TBA.

BEYOND THE STREETS (DEC. 16-17, 2023)

Beyond the Streets presents an art-filled Holiday Market at the Hollywood Flagship (434 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles 90036) from 9am to 5pm the weekend of December 16-17. Shop more than 100 artist gifts, including art, books, prints, apparel, zines, limited edition releases, archive releases, one-of-a-kind airbrushed shirts, a signing by founder Roger Gastman and much more.

The holiday vibes will be on full blast with treats, free strikers and totes while supplies last, and gift wrapping. The early bird gets the caffeine - enjoy free coffee drinks by The Mad Barista before they're gone. Bring your family, bring your friends, and even bring your dog!

BROXTON NIGHTS: SNOWY HOLIDAY MARKET - WESTWOOD (DEC. 9, 2023)

Broxton Nights is a monthly Night Market held in the heart of Westwood Village. This month's edition features the Snowy Holiday Market, the perfect chance to get out and celebrate the holiday season with friends and family!Holiday Vendor Marketplace

Broxton Nights will take place from 5pm to 9pm on Saturday, December 9. Free admission, RSVP at Eventbrite. The first 100 guests will receive a $5 Market Bucks token to spend in the Vendor Marketplace.

JACKALOPE: AN INDIE ARTISAN FAIR (DEC. 9-10, 2023)

Jackalope is hosting its Winter Artisan Fair in Burbank on a stretch of San Fernando Boulevard between Magnolia and Angeleno. Featuring 170+ local artisans, Jackalope offers trendsetting indie goods including visual art and photography, original fashion and jewelry design, paper goods, innovative home decor and housewares, food, and more.

Family-friendly activities include a Make Your Own Slime workshop; Facepainting by Linda, DIY Letterman Patch, DIY Tote Bag & Holiday Garland, and a Kids Bubble Play Area.

Jackalope is taking place from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 9-10. The fair is free, open to all ages and handicap accessible. Leashed pets are welcome!

CRAFTED AT PORT OF LA

No matter the time of year, you can find a wide variety of handmade goods at Crafted. Located at the Port of Los Angeles, the restored 1940s warehouse hosts a wide range of makers from across California. Crafted is open Friday-Sunday from noon to 6pm - be prepared to spend a good amount of time here. You can grab a beer from Brouwerij West or a bite from one of the on-site food trucks during your shopping trip. Parking and admission are free.
