Despite the fact that there about 30 ryokans to select from, the Kurokawa Onsen philosophy is to welcome all tourists as one big ryokan, integrating the hospitality of all ryokans and the nature that surrounds them. 

You can find a walkway that connects the ryokans, and a special bathing pass lets you choose three open-air baths to soak in from the 26 available!

With each changing season, you will be able to experience the different scenery of Kurokawa Onsen. 

In winter, a special event called 'Yuakari' is held, during which around 300 handmade bamboo lanterns are displayed along the river that runs through this hot spring town.
