The awards are made to restaurants with a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor's community over a 12-month period. Fewer than one per cent of TripAdvisor’s eight million listings are awarded Best of the Best, signifying the highest level of excellence in travel.
The Gates Restaurant in Pokolbin came in at number two, followed by L’isle De France in Terrigal (number four), Margan Restaurant & Winery in Broke (number six), The Zin House in Mudgee (number eight) and The Stunned Mullet in Port Macquarie (number nine).
