1) Relax at Namkat Yorlapa Resort

This scenic resort in northern Laos has endless options for those who want to relax and those who wish to explore. A protected forest and the beautiful Nam Kat River surround it. Visitors can enjoy nature, explore the nearby Khmu village, or relax at the resort.

2) Zip-Line Above Waterfalls

Thrill seekers can go zip-lining above waterfalls and treetops in this expansive park. It is located in southern Laos, near the border with Cambodia. It has dense tropical rainforests and a diverse plant life, including many rare species. Visitors can also enjoy birdwatching and wildlife spotting.

3) Kayak on the Mekong River

Kayaking on the Mekong River is a serene and beautiful adventure. One of the most popular kayaking posts is the Si Phan Don (Four Thousand Islands) in the southern part of Laos. Kayakers will have the opportunity to see local villages and communities, swim in natural pools, and see a wide array of wildlife.

4) Tour Kong Lor Cave

Kong Lor Cave boat tours, led by local guides, are extremely surreal. Visitors can see limestone formations that are millions of years old and sculpted by nature. It is located in the Phu Hin Bun National Park in the Khammouane Province of Laos.

5) Rock Climb at Thakek

There’s something for everyone at Thakek, especially rock climbers of all experience. Adventurers can climb the limestone walls in this growing community just outside of central Laos. The best time to climb is from November to April, when the weather is a bit cooler.
