More than 100 dishes introduced at the Festival "Glory of Vietnamese culinary culture"

The Festival "Glory of Vietnamese culinary culture" gathering more than 100 stalls to introduce regional dishes will take place in Ho Chi Minh City in October 2023.

On 29th August 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, the Sai Gon Professional Chefs Association and the Center for Research, Conservation and Development of Vietnamese Cuisine held a press conference to provide information about the Festival "Glory of Vietnamese culinary culture".

The "Glory of Vietnamese culinary culture" Festival will take place from 20th October to 22nd October at the Reunification Hall to honour the culinary profession on the occasion of International Chefs Day 20th October.

Activities include: culinary shows, cooking shows on stage, music shows, ceremonies honouring Vietnamese chefs, establishing culinary maps, honouring talented female chefs…

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, the festival will be held with the aim to honour generations of chefs, artisans, and chefs with several achievements, and at the same time to encourage chefs who love their profession, talented female chefs.

At the festival, the Organising Board will launch a map of Vietnamese cuisine in phase 2 with 126 dishes from 63 provinces and cities, breaking the record of phase 1 with 63 dishes. The map of Vietnamese cuisine has been made by hundreds of famous chefs who participated in setting a record and is displayed by model on the following days within the framework of the Festival.

According to the Organising Board, the Festival "Glory of Vietnamese culinary culture" gathers 100 - 120 stalls to introduce regional dishes to people and visitors participating in the festival. Visitors will enjoy regional specialties made by professional chefs, artisans of Ho Chi Minh City and localities.
