A Korean feast in Sydney

Hansang Haymarket
Sydney's most popular Korean restaurant, Hansang, has opened in Haymarket.

Just like at the Strathfield original, tuck into 72-hour beef and ox-bone soup, crunchy pancakes and punchy hot pots served with a range of homemade Korean side dishes.

Like the original, the menu is tome-like in length and diversity, covering everything from drinking food to home-style rice bowls with chestnuts and beans.

The specialty is the soups (you’ll see the huge cauldrons boiling away when you enter), both ox and beef bone broths filled with either sundae (blood sausage with rice noodles inside), beef ribs or brisket.

Although much smaller than its Strathfield sibling, the servings here are still on the large end, so unless you’re getting a soup or bibimbap for one, come with friends.
