Rail journeys through Czechia

Czechia (the Czech Republic) is encouraging visitors to consider touring the country by train.

From its capital Prague, there is the chance to take the train to the historic cities of Brno, Pilsen and Olomouc as well as getting to the spa towns of Marianske Lazne and Karlovy Vary. 

The route from Prague to Marianske Lazne is particularly scenic, passing through the vineyards of South Morvavia and the castles and countryside of Central Bohemia. 

National carrier, Czech Railways (Ceske Drahy) offers one of the most comprehensive rail networks in Europe, while RailJet provides the Prague-Brno- Vienna line and the SuperCity Pendolino services provide travel within Prague, Ostravia, Bohumin and Cheb. 

Ticket prices are particularly competitive in Czechia.
