Experience one of Japan’s major summer festivals – the famous Aomori Nebuta Festival

Held annually from August 2nd to 7th, millions of spectators flock to Aomori City to witness the lively parade of giant lanterns floats, accompanied by large groups of music bands and dancers. 

Modelled on historical figures and mythical characters, traditionally these intricate floats are designed and constructed by the locals of Aomori, and take a whole year of hard work and dedication.
