COMO The Halkin Launches Afternoon Tea Bringing Bali To Belgravia

COMO Hotel’s flagship property, COMO The Halkin, is thrilled to launch an exclusive afternoon tea, bringing the taste of Bali to the heart of Belgravia with the hotel groups signature COMO Shambhala Cuisine. Located at the classic Halkin Bar, Executive Chef Ruben Briones has meticulously curated a guilt-free menu comprising a delightful blend of savoury and sweet delicacies, accompanied by refreshing COMO Shambhala juices and teas, bringing a wellness-focused twist to this cherished British tradition.

The new afternoon tea experience at COMO The Halkin is available daily from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Guests embarking on this wellness journey will be greeted with hot towels infused with the signature COMO Shambhala scent, creating a sensory ambiance reminiscent of a COMO Shambhala retreat. To further elevate the experience, essence-infused hot stones recreate the soothing setting of the COMO Shambhala Estate in Bali, transporting diners to idyllic shores.

In line with the COMO Shambhala holistic wellness concept, which seamlessly combines healthy eating, expert nutrition, and pleasurable gastronomy, Chef Ruben has crafted an afternoon tea that delivers pure, unadulterated pleasure. Guests can indulge in signature COMO Shambhala ginger tea, savour the invigorating Lean and Clean Greens juice designed to boost energy and immunity, or opt for the cleansing properties of the Vitality Boost juice.

Each dish featured in COMO The Halkin's afternoon tea draws inspiration from "The Pleasure of Eating Well," the acclaimed COMO Shambhala cuisine book. Guests have the opportunity to peruse the book during their afternoon tea or even purchase a copy at The Halkin. The menu showcases a delectable array of savoury creations, including sweet corn and basil soup, 'Real Toast' with seeds and avocado, spiced crispy prawns, and marinated chicken lolly with rice salad and pomegranate seeds. For a guilt-free indulgence, the afternoon tea concludes with an irresistible selection of sweet treats, such as cucumber jelly with apple and avocado sorbet, wholemeal banana waffles with peanuts and yogurt sauce, and mango and passionfruit cheesecake. An absolute highlight is the Zen garden, featuring protein rock, chocolate stone, and matcha cake.

Opened in 1991, The Halkin was the first property in the COMO Hotels and Resorts portfolio. Guests of the COMO Shambhala Afternoon Tea, will be entitled to a £20 voucher (approx. AU$38) to be redeemed against booked treatments at COMO Shambhala Urban Escape to be redeemed by November 30th, 2023.

The Halkin Afternoon Tea starts from £55 per person (approx. AU$105 per person) and 24 hours booking notice is required.
