The boutique hotel Sala Beach House, KwaZulu-Natal

Sala Beach House is a privately owned boutique hotel located between Ballito and Shaka’s Rock on KwaZulu-Natal’s Dolphin Coast. 

Sala, meaning stay in Zulu enjoys private beach access to the protected tidal pool and sandy sheltered swimming beach at Thompson’s Bay. 

The property comprises a main house with four luxury guestrooms, three spacious suites sharing the use of 2 pools and a separate, selfcontained, 3-bedroom private villa with its own pool. The Sala Spa will be launching in August. 

KwaZulu-Natal's North Coast is also known as the Dolphin Coast due to the hundreds of bottlenose dolphins that can be seen on this part of the coast, which stretches from Zimbali to the Tugela River. 

It offers beaches, battle sites and heritage routes along with coastal towns including Umhlanga, Ballito, Salt Rock, Umdloti and Zinkwazi. 

The North Coast has a strong Indian influence, reflecting the history of Indian labourers who were brought in to work the sugar cane fields and there are Indian temples in KwaDuzuka-Stanger and colourful markets. 

Durban is a harbour city and a popular surfing spot. Cultural villages around the town of Eshowe showcase the traditions of the indigenous Zulu people.
