Queensland celebrates success at the Australian Tourism Awards

Queensland’s tourism industry celebrated a remarkable night at Friday’s Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, bringing home 15 accolades, with six Gold, five Silver and four Bronze being awarded to exceptional operators across the state.

The winners included the Bundaberg Rum Distillery Visitor Experience (entering the Hall of Fame for the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries category), a Gold and Silver for both Red Cat Adventures (Whitsundays) and Empire Apartment Hotel (Capricorn), and Gold for Narrows Escape Rainforest Retreat in the Hosted Accommodation category, Beef Australia Limited for Major Festivals and Events and Spirits of the Red Sand in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tourism Award.
