The Holiday andTravel Show to offer the first dedicated consumer travel show back since the pandemic

We are all desperate for the chance to travel again; to laze by a gorgeous pool, visit some beautiful cities, sip a Mai Tai on a foreign rooftop bar…and most importantly relax. 

Our wanderlust has reached fever pitch having not been able to travel for the last few years. But, travel is BACK and The Holiday and Travel Show by Expertise Events is set to inform, entice and excite Aussies about their next, long-awaited adventure. 

The events will be held in Brisbane at the Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre on 22-23rd October, 29th-30th at Sydney Showground and at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre on the 5-6th November. 

It will be the first travel show back since the pandemic and boy, do we need it! Exhibitors will come from all areas of travel from all around the world and Australia - tours, cruises, hotels, tourism bodies and more, meaning that visitors will have a smorgasbord of options to help them map out their next dream holiday.

 Whether it’s discovering our own backyard or one of the international destinations re-opening, Australians are itching to get going and it’s FREE ENTRY for visitors. 

The travel and tourism industry has been big business for Australia, accounting for 10% of GDP, but the pandemic has devastated the industry, with huge drops in outbound international travel and local tourism having been hit hard by the lack of international visitors: International visitors down 98.4% year ending June 2021 and international visitor spend down 97.1%. 

But with borders opening and consumer research suggesting that international travel rates will be back to normal by 2023, it is time for the tourism and travel industry to reconnect and kick start their business bounce back.
