Free Opera Streams from the Vienna State Opera

In the lockdown month of November, the Vienna State Opera opens its digital archive. This means: evening after evening an opera video recording as a free stream. Available all over the world. Because culture does good - especially now.

The online program is largely based on the regular schedule. Benjamin Britton's A Midsummer Nights Dream and Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin have already been shown. Donizetti's Anna Bolena will also be broadcast - a performance with Anna Netrebko in the leading role.

The performances at the Vienna State Opera have top-class cast, with the most important directors, singers and conductors of the opera world. The range of the opera repertoire is unrivalled internationally.

You can find out which productions are available as free streams in Austria and internationally:

Start is always at 7 pm. Another good thing: the transmissions can be accessed 24 hours a day. In this sense: On the couch and let the curtain rise!
