Training doesn't have to be boring, does it

As many other AV and Production companies across Australia have done, we have been using our "downtime" to catch up on testing & tagging our equipment, doing maintenance, and of course that one thing we never seem to find time for other than in January, training.

When we first sat down and started putting together our training program what was unanimous through out the team was that it couldn't be boring. A couple of ideas started forming, there were some mentions of virtual classes, interactive videos and then someone said, "So..who's in a band?". A bit of a rhetorical question when you work in the events industry, however everyone knew straight away that we were onto something.

And that's where the Scene Change live band/lectern/presentation/virtual event/lighting show/recorded/hybrid training curriculum was created, or as we like to call it "How to AV the Scene Change way".

Our team have had a blast and skills have definitely been "upped" over the past couple of weeks. The next event you book with us, expect some sensational production value.

Shown here is our very own Jack Brownridge-Jones providing the team with some real live music experience.

As it turns out a lot of our staff are actually really talented outside of the event bubble! Our very own Peter G heads up Golden Sound. The Brisbane Funksters recorded the music video for their track: The Search.in our pop up studio during the COVID lock down. The track comes from the album 3 Points of Contact to be released in the coming weeks. Keep your ears peeled for that one.
