Whale Watching Makes a Splash in Sydney

Captain Cook Cruises Sydney is back and making a splash with Whale Watching Cruises from 3 July 2020. Book before 2 July 2020 and cruise for as little as $55 per person - a saving of up to 40%.

These popular Whale Watching Cruises start early July just as the number of whales migrating north begin to soar. Although rarely needed, every ticket comes with a guarantee; if a whale is not spotted, passengers can cruise again for free. The company expects the 2020 Sydney Whale season to break all records with Humpback Whale numbers continuing to grow by up to 10% each year.

The three-hour cruise begins from Darling Harbour, taking passengers past the Sydney Opera House and the beautiful eastern suburbs, before passing through the Harbour headlands to open water. A unique wildlife experience is offered with every cruise, fully explained by an onboard marine specialist. Dolphins, sometimes in their hundreds, seals, albatross and even a cheeky fairy penguin or two, are all regular sights on the cruise.

According to Captain Cook Cruises General Manager, Anthony Haworth “We are excited to be back on the water. A Whale Watching Cruise is a vibrant, outdoor experience and the perfect panacea for months of lockdown in New South Wales.”

“This is the first of many new tours for 2020. Over the coming months we will be launching an exciting range of new experiences on Sydney Harbour.” Continues Mr Haworth.

Whale Watching Cruises operate on comfortable ocean-going catamarans equipped with two passenger decks and spacious outdoor and indoor viewing. The benefit of social distancing regulations, is passenger numbers are limited, creating an amazing personalised experience for the lucky few. The company has also released a Cruise Safe, Cruise Well guide for all passengers highlighting the health and safety initiatives implemented, all the way from booking to disembarkation.

Early birds can catch the morning cruise departing 10am daily during NSW School Holidays, and Friday to Sunday outside these dates. An additional afternoon cruise departs at 1.15pm on weekends. All cruises depart and return from Darling Harbour, King St Wharf No.2.

Captain Cook Cruises is offering a pre-season Whale Watching special of $55 per person, normally $95, valid for sale to 2 July 2020, for travel anytime to 28 October 2020.
